Rear Sprocket
| Photo of rear hub showing axle spacer and rear section of home made chain tensioner / axle positioner. Aluminum rear plate of chain tensioner is perhaps a bit thicker than required but it's the stock I had laying around. I'll make new ones when I get the time, it's not like I'm building a World Superbike. | |
| New aluminum rear sprocket from Sprocket Specialist. The new sprocket was required because I am using a C-90 rear hub, which takes a sprocket with a 428 pitch chain, however the small honda motors use sprockets with a 420 pitch chain. I had to have a custom sprocket made to fit the C-90 hub but with a 420 tooth pitch. I took measurements of the, center hole, bolt hole size and bolt hole spacing (from center of a bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it). I called Sprocket Specialist, gave them the measurements and told them I wanted it made with 40 teeth, with a 420 pitch, in aluminum with lightening holes... I had the sprocket in my hands three days later. Including shipping it was $77. This is the second time I have used this company, I have been very satisfied both times. |
