Here we see Mary lined up in a staging area of pit lane waiting to enter the starting grid. Yes the bike to Mary's left is a Honda Dream 50. The course is a 1.6 mile road course with about 12 turns and a lengthy straight down the front and some tough hills to climb, well.. the hills were tough for the CD-1 anyway.
	Waiting for the green flag. Its a motors off start so the bikes must be pushed. Some prefer the off the bike starting method others prefer the on the bike method. To Mary's left (in the blue and white leathers) is the master of USCRA 50cc racing, Karl Smolenski on a Suzuki. A special note of thanks to Karl who, besides racing in just about every race class on his numerous machines, found time to keep track of and post the race results, help other people and greet and encourage just about everyone. He has been a driving force behind the 50cc class despite the fact that he also races much larger and faster machines.
